I am Dorothy Young, the owner and administrative director of Young Child Development Center, Inc. I live in the valley area with my husband, Kevin. We have one grown son, Ryan. I have been in the Early Childhood Education field since 1990, I have worked in every position in a center for both non-profit, corporate and now private early childhood settings. I started Young Child Development Center in 2003 and this was one of the best decisions that I have ever made! Early Childhood is my passion and calling. My team and I are always striving to do the best for the children and families at our center.
I earned my teaching certifications at Fox Valley Technical College and Lakeshore Technical College. I earned my Administrators Credential at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College. I attended UW-Oshkosh. I am returning to Fox Valley Technical College in January 2012. I am the president of Valley Association for the Education of Young Children. I am a member of Wisconsin Child Care Administrators Association, the National Association for the Education of Young Children, the Wisconsin Early Childhood Association and Valley AEYC!
