What’s Happening: Young Preschool

Week of May 21st   “Mixing”

Monday:
Today we will practice our colors and work on the colored wagon wheel.  We will also see what new colors we can make when we mix different finger paints together.  During group today we will be reading “Mixed Up Chameleon” by Eric Carle.

Tuesday:
Cooking Day!  We are making apple fruit salad today for our snack.  Ask your child what they put in their apple fruit salad today.  We will also be making our own play dough for our classroom today.

Wednesday:
Gym Day! In the gym today we will be have fun with the scooters.  We are also playing Mr. Potato Head mix up and playing with different colored water in the sensory table.

Thursday:
We are doing the finger play “Where is Thumbkin” and we will read “Fish Out of Water” by Helen Plamer today during group.  We will also be dressing up and mixing and matching the flannel board people.

Friday:
Today we will be sorting different fruits and vegetables and making a texture collage.  During group time today we will be reading “Mouse Magic”  by Ellen Stoll Walsh.
