Appleton Summer Camps

Appleton School Age Summer Camp

Our school age summer camp classroom is on a different level from the preschool classrooms, so the children have their own space, away from the younger children. It’s an important difference to school age children. The room was designed with school agers in mind. You will find Game Tables, a Woodworking area, a stage for Dramatic Activities including Music and Dance, A Lego building site, an expansive Arts & Crafts area, plus more in the room. It is adjacent to our indoor gymnasium and a large outdoor playground.

The school age summer camp theme this year is North American Adventures. The children will be traveling across North America Amazing Race style. The campers plant & care for a garden, do weekly cooking activities and will venture into vermicomposting. It’s a great year to Go GREEN with our camp!

Field Trips are an important piece of our program and the school age campers go on two field trips each week, with the exception of the week of July 4th. The trips are to places that past campers have enjoyed. Some of the trips planned for this summer include: Barlow Planetarium, Bowling, Crayfishing, a Timber Rattlers Game, Ledgeview Caves, Ice Skating, Mini Gold and High Cliff State Park. We realize that children are happiest when they are busy, but feel that summer is a time to be more laid back and rejuvenate. The activities and trips planned will be fun and your child will be learning without even realizing it.

Appleton Pre-Kindergarten Summer Camp

Works with weekly themes and goes on one field trip each week, with the exception of the week of July 4th. Some of the field trips will include: Universal Playground, Special Memories Zoo, Red Lobster, Bowling, 1000 Islands Nature Center, and Wild Air. Our PreK classroom plants and cares for a garden, does weekly cooking activities and has sprinkler fun days. We’re looking forward to a great summer with your child and family!
